Here Comes the Sun – With a little Help from my Friends!

Relay for Life Tacoma 2017 was a huge SUCCESS.   This was the first year I put a team together for Relay and WOW was I amazed by all the support, encouragement and LOVE.  The entire  experience was rewarding on so many different levels.   The American Cancer Society community is powerful and so appreciative of our support.

Fun Fact – The American Cancer Society “Relay for Life” was started in…. none other than… TACOMA WASHINGTON!  Go ahead Tacoma, smile proud!   Another reason I love this community!

Proving that one person can make a difference. In May 1985, Dr. Gordon “Gordy” Klatt walked and ran for 24 hours around a track in Tacoma, Washington, raising money to help the American Cancer Society with the nation’s biggest health concern: cancer. Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Relay is staffed and coordinated by volunteers in more than 5,200 communities and 27 countries. Volunteers give of their time and effort because they believe it’s time to take action against cancer.

Gordy was my kind of guy!  He was and continues to be an Impactful Difference Maker, one who gave more to help others navigate toward realizing their fullest potential so that we are all impactful difference makers.
