Since 1928, the iconic brick building pictured right has been at the heart of the 6th Avenue business district in Tacoma for 90 years. Over the years, the building was home to a grocery store, a dance studio and even a Knights of Columbus Hall. Most recently, my friends, Tom and Mary Johnson, owned this building and operated Northwest Costume for the last 20 years.
Recently, I was shocked to learn that an electrical fire destroyed most of the costumes and damaged a part of the building. It still breaks my heart to picture Tom and Mary watching the flames engulf the business and building that they poured love and care into for decades.
The fire was devastating and easily could have been the end of this story. However, with resolve and clarity, Tom and Mary called me for guidance and help. Together, we are writing the next chapter.
After extensive discussions and careful weighing of options, we created a specific plan tailored to their needs and circumstances which includes selling the building and exploring new business opportunities. Both of which I am guiding them through personally. Tom and Mary are taking full advantage of all of the services offered by Toner Real Estate Solutions.
